Introducing The Aston Cup 🏆

A brand‑new campus sports event | Friday 5th June

The Aston Cup is coming to campus for the first time — a FREE, high‑energy sporting event open to all students and staff. Expect fast‑paced doubles matches, plenty of game time, and an unbeatable festival atmosphere as university sport meets Astonbury.

Compete against friends, colleagues, and rivals across three exciting sports, played in a group and knockout hybrid format to guarantee multiple matches and competitive fun.

🕙 10:00–14:00
👥 Up to 20 teams

Padel
📍 Padel Courts
🕙 10:00–14:00
👥 Up to 10 teams

👥 Team Information

Teams will need to consist of 2–3 students and/or staff
Students/staff may only enter one event, as competitions run at overlapping times
You can represent your department or mix across faculties
Choose a fun and creative team name
Registration will remain open until the day before the event
All participants will receive free entry to Astonbury
Please note: only students/staff that register on the day and take part will receive free entry

📝 Registration

When registering, teams should book one free team ticket and provide:

Team name and number of participants
Names and email addresses of all team members
Relevant medical information

Please note: only one ticket per team is required (e.g. one ticket covers a team of three).

Trophy presentation 🏅

At the end of the Aston Cup, participants from all three sports will be invited to a trophy presentation at the Astonbury amphitheatre. The presentation will begin at 5:00pm, with trophies and certificates awarded to the winners and runners-up.
