Newsletter Week 8

HI GUYS!

So we had quite a busy, eventful and fun week! Saturday had the University’s Open Day. It was loud and vibrant, and many prospective students and their families loved coming down and speaking to us...especially to our Clubs and Societies! SPECIAL THANKS to Thomas Morris and James O’Neil that handled the Life Talks, they really were great!

Monday kicked off with our first ever Union Council! It was intense, but amazing to see everyone that had come down to voice their opinions and vote on some key issues. However, we need more of you there next time! For the next Council date and time please keep a lookout on our social media etc. A big well done to ISOC who have raised over £4,000 for charity, and Amna’s Appreciate Islam Week that really got students coming together for support.

Much SU President love,

Reema

ARC RISES TO TOP OF THE TABLE

The Students’ Union’s Advice and Representation Centre has been voted the best support service at Aston University in the recent Student Satisfaction Survey.

Over 1,000 first and second-year students completed the survey earlier this year and gave their opinions on all support services around the University. The Advice and Representation Centre is a core service of the Students’ Union, and all the staff and officers are delighted with this recognition of their hard work.
