It doesn’t take height to reach the top. Join Aston Phoenixes now and together we’ll climb to the top with those experienced and new. You may play in the league or playing recreational sessions, but you will be playing with friends. Dig, Set, Spike, and make your 3 step approach towards Volleyball.
We are inviting you to join the Aston University Volleyball Club (AUVC)! We are a big club with around 100 members, and what we do is make friends and play volleyball! We welcome everyone, from beginners to more experienced players, and offer coached training sessions both for women's team and men's team. The membership fee is £35 per year to join the recreational sessions only and £50 per year to join the BUCS team (with team training and league matches) and the recreational sessions as well. We also offer half-year only memberships for exchange students and memberships also for alumni students.
Trainings:
Monday - 19:30-21:00 (Men's team training) Hall 1
Tuesday - 17:00-19:00 (Women's team training) Hall 2
Thursday - 18:00-20:00 (Social session) Hall 2
Our club is also competing in the BUCS league. So you have a chance to play for the university and compete against other teams from around the UK!
Beyond BUCS we will be promoting large scale UV Volleyball Events, Sit down volleyball and inter-university tournaments using our HEVO links with other universities across the country,
Aston Men's 1 is coached by Jack Roberts and it is currently in the Men's Midlands Tier 3 - 3B.
