After winning “The Bhangra Showdown” and featuring on BBC one's Bhangra or Bust, BBC breakfast and Sunday Morning Live Aston Bhangra society is back and is planning to be even bigger. Filled with passionate and committed dancers we aim to promote the cultures and beliefs that Aston University expresses to its students. At ABS we look to promote diversity and inclusion with a “fresh” twist. Whilst being an incredible opportunity to meet a wide variety of like-minded people, be ready for your fitness to be tested, your dance moves to be updated, and for new friendships to blossom. We know this beautiful Punjabi folk dance may look intimidating to the best of us, but looking into our previous years, complete rookies have gone on to join professional stages outside of University, and if competing is not your thing there is so much more to ABS. Every member is like a family member and we love to meet and interact with everyone. So whether it’s to fulfil a lifelong ambition, to meet new friends, to get fitter, or all of the above! Make sure to check out ABS!!!

This is to elect the Student Activities Executive Committee for the academic year 2025/26. Bye-law 7 states that Student Activities elected committee is a standing committee of Union Council. With that in mind it would be standard practice that the Student Activities Executive Committee must be approved by the Students' Union Council.
