Aston Students’ Union Stands in Solidarity with Iranian Students and Staff

Aston Students' Union is deeply aware of the ongoing situation in Iran and the serious impact it is having on people’s lives. We recognise that mass protests have continued across the country in recent weeks, and that actions taken by state authorities in response have involved the use of force, leading to widespread violence, loss, and uncertainty for many individuals and families both inside Iran and across the global Iranian community.

We stand in solidarity with our Iranian students, staff, and their loved ones during this distressing time. We understand that the emotional, psychological, and personal effects of these events can be overwhelming, whether you are directly affected or supporting someone who is.

Please know that you are not alone. If you are struggling, support is available across the University and the Students’ Union, and we strongly encourage you to reach out.
