Aston Students’ Union Update: Support for Students Affected by the Escalation in the Middle East
Aston Students’ Union is deeply concerned by the escalation of conflict across the Middle East over the past few days.
The Union recognises the escalation in the conflict may be causing heightened distress, uncertainty, and fear for students in the Aston community who may be worried about the safety of family and friends. We understand that rapidly unfolding events, constant media coverage, and the unpredictability of the situation can have a significant emotional and psychological impact.
To every student who is affected, whether directly, through family or friends, or simply by what you are seeing, hearing and feeling, we want you to know that you are not alone. The Union and the wider Aston University services are here offer support, advice and guidance.
If you are in need of support, please reach out. Support is available, and we encourage you to access it.

Aston Students' Union wants to reaffirm our commitment to maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment across our community. At times of international conflict, it is especially important that we show empathy and understanding towards each other, regardless of nationality, background, religion, or political belief.
The Union will continue to monitor developments and provide further updates where appropriate. As always, we remain here to listen, support, and advocate for Aston students.
