Our aim is to create a vibrant community that celebrates Ghanaian culture, support students within this society, and promote inclusivity through Ghanaian cultural, social and educational events & activities. We aim to provide Ghanaian students with the platform to proudly showcase and embrace their culture and educate others at Aston about Ghana’s heritage, history and diversity.
This society is also aiming to encourage Ghanaian students to connect/network with other Ghanaian students within the university and Birmingham in general, to help students create an everlasting community with eachother whilst also brining a sense of belonging especially for people who came from far to Aston.
We also hope to host charity/fundraising events that positively impact Ghanaians in the diaspora and political issues that may be happening in Ghana/ the rest of the continent of Africa.

This is to elect the Student Activities Executive Committee for the academic year 2025/26. Bye-law 7 states that Student Activities elected committee is a standing committee of Union Council. With that in mind it would be standard practice that the Student Activities Executive Committee must be approved by the Students' Union Council.
