A Drama Society where we encourage beginning/ continuing to learn new drama skills, putting on incredible plays and forging new friendships with fellow drama-lovers!

Aston Drama Society aims to encourage active participation in drama activities and foster any interest, passion or talent for acting and the performing arts as well as providing something new for students. Whether you want to just have fun, refine your skills in becoming a professional actor, get involved in performances, all of these or more, we hope to have something for you!
Meetings
Every Wednesday from 6pm - 8pm in the main building in MB161. Sessions typically last up to two hours, but may vary. We will update this page to reflect any changes. During our busy periods, we may meet on additonal days for rehearsals, but these will be discussed in-session. We also regularly have socials following our sessions at the pub Gosta Green which is a short walk from campus.
Value for money and membership
We charge £5 for membership, and for this you get regular sessions packed with fun and exciting activites, the chance to audition for our mainstage production "Unbroken Circle", the opportunity to realise your potential as a performer and develop transferable skills such as communication, organisation/planning and presentation, as well as boost your confidence. All of this while meeting new people and building new friendships!
We hold regular events including social outings, bar crawls, and trips to theatre productions and film studios (budget permitting!) We are in communication with local theatres about group bookings to watch theatre productions and gain backstage access to actors and Q&As.
Our Play Unbroken Circle is going to be in the Aston Student Union on the 17th and 18th March.
