Aston Takes the Win: Varsity Trophy Returns After 7 Years
Aston Students’ Union is celebrating a huge sporting achievement as Aston triumphed over Birmingham City University (BCU) to reclaim the Varsity title for the first time in seven years.
In an action-packed series of fixtures, Aston’s sports clubs delivered outstanding performances across the board, securing a final score of 11.5 to 9.5.
Despite challenging conditions throughout the competition, including strong winds, heavy rain, and even hailstones, Aston teams showed incredible resilience, battling through the elements and giving their all in every match.
The Varsity programme brought together a wide range of clubs, each contributing vital points to the overall score. Whether it was dominant wins, closely fought contests, or dramatic finishes, Aston students showed determination, skill, and pride from start to finish.
