Join us for an informative talk on Burns & First Principles of Plastics & Reconstruction presented by Ms. Nada Al-Hadithy.
Ms. Al-Hadithy is one of the few plastic surgeons in the UK to have worked in the Department of Health and Social Care, where she contributed to national policy for data transparency. Her work was presented to the Secretary of State and the Chief Medical Officer. Through her Medical Doctorate at the University of Edinburgh, covering massive weight loss body contouring, Ms. Al-Hadithy has co-authored the national commissioning guidelines on these transformative procedures.
Outside of her medical practice, Ms Al-Hadithy has a diploma in Medical Education and has been an honorary lecturer at UCL as an anatomy demonstrator. She has worked with King’s College London’s Global Health Partnerships and MedicineAfrica to deliver 100,000 hours of teaching in Somaliland and continues to support education in global health. Ms. Al-Hadithy has also been awarded the prestigious Teacher of the Year award at the University of Oxford’s Medical School.
She is passionate about supporting future medical professionals, and has supervised medical students and junior doctors to develop new patient pathways in a range of innovative medical technologies and psychological support in patients with chronic conditions.
