Why does your wellbeing matter?
When you take care of yourself physically, mentally and emotionally, you're more likely to enjoy your time at university, succeed academically and be able to enjoy your day to day life.
Whatever wellbeing looks like to you, we've got all the resources you need in one space so you don't have to look far to get the support you need.
Connect
When we connect with other people it can help to build a sense of belonging and self worth.
Finding your people at university can be the best way to improve your wellbeing. Take a look at our resources below.
Be Active
Not only is staying physcially active great for your physical health, it's also been shown to have amazing benefits for your mental health too.
Learn something new
Taking a break from your studies and learning something new outside of your degree can improve your wellbeing.
Whether that's learning a new recipe or trying your hand at something you've never done before, there are lots of small ways you can learn something new.
Give to others
Sometimes we get so stuck on what we're doing that we forget those around us.
Research has shown that giving to others and being kind to those around us can improve your emotional and mental wellbeing.
Be Present
At university it can feel as if you're always working towards something in the future and it's easy to forget the importance of the here and now.
You might have heard of some people calling this mindfulness. Practising mindfulness and paying more attention to the present moment can positively change the way you feel about life and your current mood.
