Welcome Week is the BUSIEST and most exciting time during the university term time, a fun-packed period filled with meeting new people, settling into new environments, and celebrating the start of your university journey!

How can I join clubs/societies?

Joining a club or society is one of the best ways to get the most out of your time here at Aston. With over 130 student-led groups we have something for everyone. Take a look here to see what groups we have on offer! Don't see anything that interests you? Start your own here! We love hearing your ideas for new clubs and societies.

To join a club or society you can join online by visiting the Clubs & Socs page here and signing in with your Aston student log-in.

Where can I buy my Wristband?

Our Welcome Wristbands are a GREAT way to get involved, bringing you a whole bunch of night events at a discounted rate! You can get your wristbands by clicking here.

I want to get involved but don't want to be around alcohol, is there something for me?

Of course! At Aston Students' Union we want to be as inclusive as possible. Thats why we have made sure there is something for everyone! Check out our Day and Evening events.

Is Welcome Week just for first year students?

THIS IS A MYTH! All students are encouraged to take part in Welcome Week! This includes: returning students, postgraduate students, mature students, exchange students and CEG students.

How many clubs and societies can I join?

AS MANY AS YOU LIKE! The BEST way to know if a club or society is right for you is by attending our Clubs and Societies Fair on the 22nd September - click here to learn more!

Can I bring friends from other universities?

As long as they are accompanied by an Aston student, then absolutely! Just make sure you all bring your student IDs on the day!
