Absolutely! Most students join something completely new at university. Whether you're a beginner, a casual participant or already experienced, there's something for everyone.
The easiest way is to get involved! Attend events, join activities, chat to people in your accommodation and visit the Clubs & Societies Fair. Remember, everyone is looking to meet new people too.
The best way is to visit the Clubs & Societies Fair during Welcome Week on Tuesday, 15 September. You can meet committee members, ask questions and sign up there and then.
Don't worry, lots of students feel the same. Come along to taster sessions, chat to current members and try a few different activities before deciding what suits you best.
Definitely. We have over 80 societies covering everything from culture and faith to gaming, hobbies, careers, performing arts and special interests. There's no one way to get involved.
