The Ahlulbayt Islamic Society (ABSoc) is a student-led organisation which aims to create an environment striving for individual development and societal betterment. Representing the morals and characters of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his family we aim to meet the needs of all regardless of cultural background or religious choosing.
Weekly reflections and discussion circles enable members to discuss topics on politics, religion, philosophy (and much much more!) creating a space for people to voice their opinions. Maximising the university surroundings, we aim to organise events from interactive seminars with expert speakers to collaborating with other societies to help the homeless of Birmingham.
What events we hold:
This society not only intends to serve as a platform for people to develop themselves but to be the foundation for years of valued friendships.
For more information or to get involved, please contact us through the email or social media.
Hope to see you for the next events.

This is to elect the Student Activities Executive Committee for the academic year 2025/26. Bye-law 7 states that Student Activities elected committee is a standing committee of Union Council. With that in mind it would be standard practice that the Student Activities Executive Committee must be approved by the Students' Union Council.
2 posts are up for election.
