Hello, we are the Aston Computer Science Society (ACSS)

Coordinated by students powered with their excitement in tech, we welcome all to learn, share and have fun with computer science.

Also, you don’t need to be studying computer science nor have technical experience, simply an interest in technology is brilliant!

We host a spectrum of events including:

  • Our annual hackathon, AstonHack

  • Tech Talks with industry professionals

  • Workshops developing technical and employability skills

  • Socials including pub quizzes, game nights and much more

Desire a particular event or have a crazy idea, please let us know, after all we run this society for you and aim to provide excellent experiences.

Our society room is MB214 and if you have any questions, reach out to us on our socials on InstagramFacebookTwitter, as well as email and on our Discord too.

ASTONHACK7: 11th - 12st December 2021

AstonHack is back for the 7th year and we are inviting student hackers to join us regardless if it's your 1st or 30th time!

Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been programming for years, hackathons are a great place to learn new skills, build your network, find opportunities, and most importantly have fun.

We are very excited to be hosting this event with all our wonderful sponsors and partners; there are numerous challenges, a range of workshops and plenty of opportunities to win prizes too.

Tickets are free and we’re open to university students: visit the AstonHack website for more details
