For all you Freshers 2023, welcome to the National Hindu Students Forum (NHSF) - Aston Hindu Society!
And for those returning, we are back - bigger and better than ever!
Aston Hindu Society (AHS) believes in providing every member with a unique chance to engage their university experience with Hindu culture in a social, educational & spiritual way, whilst promoting unity amongst the Hindu youths and other cultural/spiritual backgrounds.
Despite the current pandemic, we have adapted and overcome the challeneges and we will be still be bringing you exciting events - just while keeping everyone safe too!
We achieve this through a range of dynamic events and activities, and being one of the largest societies at Aston Uni, we have plenty to offer! We are talking about:

Weekly aartis every week followed by learning sessions and socials!

Regional and national sports competitions versing other hindu society teams!

Dinners, dances, discussions, fashion shows, sewa, socialising and so much more!
We’re here to ensure that you experience Hindu culture to the max, with like minded people across all years.
As a society we aim to stay intact with our cultural roots as we progress in life!
We are here to make your university life as enjoyable as possible!
There's opportunities for you to showcase yourselves and try new things! Whether it's acting, dancing, singing, sports, hosting and much more! We have events which appeal to everyone. You'll definitely find something you like with us!
Our society
We also host productions and socials to mark special spiritual occasions on the Hindu calendar, from Navratri (The Triumph of Good over Evil), to Diwali (Festival of Light), to Holi (Festival of Colour). These are unmissable events for Hindu students to celebrate and for Non-Hindus to experience and understand this vibrant religion.
This society is full of love and chaos! We exist to educate, socialise and create new traditions as we keep the Hindu Dharma alive in this society.
