Essential Information for Astonbury 2025:

We’re just 24 hours away from the biggest event of the year! To help you have the best experience possible, we’ve put together all the essential info—from ticket details and entry policies to site access and safety tips.

Take a moment to read through so you know what to expect on the day. It’ll help you avoid any surprises and make the most of your Astonbury experience! 💫

Be Weather Ready: 🌦

As the event will be held outdoors, it's important to come prepared for the weather! 

Ticket holders will be provided with ponchos on entry.

We also recommend bringing reusable water bottles to stay hydrated (you can refill your water bottles in the SU), sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun, picnic blankets & rugs to relax on, and sunglasses to look cool!

Signing in and Wristband Policy: 📝

The main entrance to the festival is just outside the Aston Uni Library, towards the end of Aston Street. Upon arrival, all guests will be required to show their QR code and present a valid ID. 

There will be security on entry who will be conducting bag searches. If you want to bring a water bottle we recommend bringing the water bottle empty, as you may be asked to empty them by security. This process helps us ensure the security and safety of all attendees. 

After signing in, you will receive your wristband. The wristband serves as proof of entry and must be worn throughout the event. Please note that re-entry IS allowed for the duration of the event, provided you have your wristband intact.

A small removable tab on your wristband will grant you access to a free meal of your choice. To redeem the meal, simply pass the food vendor the tab off your wristband. If you lose your food tab this is your responsibility, and you won't receive your free meal if you don't have it on you.

Toilets and Other Facilities: 🚻

We have ample toilet facilities throughout the site. Please use these facilities responsibly and help us maintain cleanliness for you and others. Additionally, other important facilities, such as food & drink vendors, first aid stations, and information booths are available.

Tickets on the Day: 🎟

Online tickets are now SOLD OUT! Which means if you still want to attend, you’ll have to buy your ticket on the door. Tickets will be £5 on the day of the event, but please note that these tickets will NOT include free food. 

Drinks Policy: 🍹

There will be bars located both inside the Students’ Union and outside near the stage.
Please make sure to follow the event’s drinks policy—any drinks purchased inside must stay inside and cannot be brought into the outdoor festival area.

We’ll also be running a cup deposit scheme: return your cup to the inside bar and receive £1 back per cup.

Please note: Student IDs will NOT be accepted as valid ID for alcohol purchases. If you plan to buy drinks, make sure to bring a valid form of identification, such as a passport or driving licence.

Cashless Event (payment by card/device only): 💳

We are excited to announce that the event will be completely cashless. Be sure to bring your debit card and/or make sure your devices are fully charged, we don’t want you to miss out!
