What is the International Buddy Scheme?

The International Buddy Scheme provides opportunities for international students to meet new people, practice their spoken English, and benefit from our calendar of social events. Students from all over the world and buddies from the UK will be at our events and you'll be able to find out how to make the most of your time in the UK and enjoy traditional British customs.

All undergraduate and postgraduate students from outside the UK can take part in the International Buddy Scheme, and all undergraduate and postgraduate UK students can join the scheme as a buddy.

If you are an exchange student then this scheme is ideal for you.

• Meet new people from across the globe, and the UK
• Get tips and advice from UK buddies who know Aston, Birmingham and the UK well
• Practice your English and share your own language with those learning it
• Share your own culture and discover other cultures, including British traditions
