Aston Boxing Club is an affiliated member of the Aston Students’ Union. It’s goal is to promote the sport of Boxing in the University and is open to all ability levels. We aim to promote member’s participation in regular training sessions by providing quality coaching in fitness and technique to ensure that every member can learn the basic skills and demands required in Boxing. Aston Boxing Club does not discriminate against any individual that wants to learn the sport of Boxing and is open to all ability levels for both men and women. We promote a culture of tolerance and respect for all.
Boxing is a very physically demanding, but rewarding sport. It requires a hard work-ethic and a want to learn attitude. With regular participation, as comes with anything, you will be rewarded with improvement. We ask that all of our members who are serious about boxing, whether that be to improve your fitness or compete in the ring, that you regularly attend sessions.
Please note, the Aston Boxing Club is exclusively a Boxing society. We do not teach any other combat sports such as Thai Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or Wrestling. The Students’ Union does have a separate club for this with their own training times. We do occasionally organise joint social events with the society but we do not otherwise train with this society.
