The Aston University Debating & MUN Society is a student-run society which meets regularly to discuss issues and current affairs through Debates and Model United Nations. To keep updated on meetings and competitions join our Facebook group.
Both Debating and MUN provide an excellent opportunity to make new friends. It is the perfect way to travel, debate, negotiate and discuss world politics, and is an important addition to your CV, as well as your social life. We have travelled from Edinburgh to Spain, meeting new people, making friends and experiencing different cultures. We plan to go on many trips both in the UK and abroad. With many exciting social events planned for the year!
The society has been established for many years and we recruit members on an ongoing basis - it is only £6 to join! Your membership includes BOTH Debating and MUN which is a great deal.
We meet in the Wright Lecture Theatre twice a week, on --- and ----- . Make sure you keep up to date on our page to see when we meet and the different social events we have on!
You must ensure you attach the relevant receipt or invoice to your money claim.
This is to elect the Student Activities Executive Committee for the academic year 2024/25. Bye-law 7 states that Student Activities elected committee is a standing committee of Union Council. With that in mind it would be standard practice that the Student Activities Executive Committee must be approved by council.
