Tue 09 Oct 2018

The question that has been always asked by our students, "Where our tuition fees go?", needs an answer. This what I will be lobbying the University for.

What is your favourite motivational quote?

"Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy."

Norman Vincent Peale

Tell us a fun fact about yourself

I can play the Saxophone.

If you had a spirit animal. What would it be and why?

An Elephant, because they are protective and caring animals with deep family bonds. And people don’t mess with them ;)

What is your favourite book, movie or TV show?

I love Stranger Things!

If you could have a meal with someone dead or alive who would it be and why?

Steven Fry – He is a legend and so smart! I would to ask him so many questions (QI is the best) .

If you could change one thing this year what would it be?

To make the SU feel like a home from home for ALL students.

Why did you stand to be an Officer?

PBeing SU President has been a personal goal of mine since my first year, and I want to help make changes and get student voices heard throughout the whole University.

What are your top three tips for someone starting at Aston?

  1. Join as many clubs, societies or SU committees as you can (especially in your first year). In first year the work isn’t too bad, so you have more time to try new things and meet new people. The more you get involved in the SU the better it is.
  2. Put yourself out there! I was shy at first as it is daunting being in a new city with lots of new people. But if you get to know people and make lots of friends, it makes being away from home so much easier.
  3. HAVE FUN – University can be a stressful place (especially in final year) but you have to enjoy it. You only get to be at Uni once in your life so you may as well make the most of it.
