Hello Everyone!

The end is right round the corner!!!  I know it’s stressful and a lot of you are banging your head against the wall but just push through it!

I’ve done 44 exams at Aston during my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and I would like to share my top tips with you to get through them:

1.    Eat well and sleep well. I have known far too many people work until 4 am and end up feeling drowsy during the exam (some even missed them!). Make sure to always get a good night’s sleep!

2.    Make sure to have some group study sessions with friends. Nothing helps you learn more than when you are teaching someone else how to do it! Also having friends around when you’re feeling anxious or stressed does really help ?

3.    Never force yourself to study when you are in a stressed or bad mood. It won’t help you revise better at all. Take a break and relax for an hour, then come back to it!

4.    If you don’t understand something just e-mail or arrange a meeting with your lecturer. They will always try and help! They want you to pass!

5.    Do not talk to people before or after your exams. Get in, get your table number, sit down, do the exam and then leave. Discussing your exams afterwards does not help your mental stability as ‘what’s done is done’. Move on and study for the next exam!

Now, on to the news...

The Aston Aunties are a team of Aston Students' Union welcome volunteers.

The Aunties are carefully selected Aston students, who volunteer their time to welcome new students into university life by providing help and support. The Aunties wear brightly coloured t-shirts and huge name badges - you won't be able to miss them.

Due to many requests, the Aston Auntie application deadline will be extended until 12pm 26th May. Hopefully this will allow you more time to finish it off!

You can find the application by following the link below:

SAVE THE DATE! Aston’s popular final week of events will take place Friday 9th June-Wednesday 14th June.
