Join the BSS Town Hall to learn about the changes that will take place to the Business & Social Sciences School.
Dear Students,
I am writing to invite you to attend an online town hall meeting BSS Online Town Hall (astonsu.com) to discuss proposed changes in the College of Business and Social Sciences that would affect those who are studying languages. The aim of the town hall is to facilitate opportunity for students to hear more about the proposals, how they might be affected, and to ask any question to Senior Management in the College.
The College has been formally consulting with some of its academic faculty in relation to the planned closure of language programmes at Aston University. As programmes have been closed to new recruitment, there is a need to review associated staffing alongside this. In doing so, the College management seek to balance quality of student experience so that those returning to study in their final year can continue with core and a selection of optional elements of the programme.
Please do take up the opportunity to attend the town hall.
This restructured environment, which will go live starting in September 2024, is designed to correct previous inefficiencies, strengthen strategic control, and position the college for an outstanding future.
