Settling into campus life might seem overwhelming, but with the right approach, you'll quickly find your rhythm and make the most of your university experience.

Here are some valuable tips to help you settle in seamlessly:

1. Explore Your Surroundings

Take some time to explore the campus and the city and familiarise yourself with its layout. Locate key buildings such as your department, the library, student services, food courts and recreational spaces. It’s also important to locate nearby supermarkets and GPs. This will help you navigate confidently from day one.

2. Attend Welcome Week Activities

Welcome Week events are designed to introduce you to the campus community, fellow students, and the range of services available. Be sure to take part in these activities to meet new people, make new friends and learn about campus resources. This will help you feel more at ease in your new environment!

3. Personalise Your Space

Whether you're living in student accommodation or private housing, make your living space comfortable and reflective of your personality. Add personal touches like photos, decorations, and cosy bedding to transform your room into a welcoming haven. TRUST US – it makes all the difference!

5. Join Clubs & Societies

Getting involved in student clubs and societies is a fantastic way to meet like-minded individuals who share your interests. Whether you're passionate about sports, arts, or helping the community, there's likely a group for you!

9.Ask for Help When Needed Transitioning to university life can be challenging and that's perfectly normal!  Don't be shy to ask for help from your Tutor, professors, or counsellors if you're facing difficulties. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
