HEY, FRESHERS/ RETURNERS/ STAFF AND EVERYONE ELSE AT ASTON UNIVERSITY!
A massive welcome to you all for a year of fun, studying and creating those priceless university memories that you will cherish for the rest of your life. Freshers' Week got off to an amazing start, with our Aston Aunties helping all the students move in and welcoming them to the Aston community...and they’re STILL powering through the days and nights, supporting us and you by being the wonderful students they are.
The SU should be your go-to-place, and we’ve had so much going on; from our most successful Welcome Party ever, chocolate workshops, taster sessions, campus and city tours, Asda trips, as well as all the night events...but we are not done yet! We've got our Freebie Fair on Thursday and our Clubs and Societies Fair on Friday, PLUS Friday's Foam Finale, Antics and Skint on Saturday, and much, much more.
Look out for the VPs and I giving out freebies during the week or pop in to see us in the Students' Union 3rd floor Office. Whatever else you do, make sure you get involved and just have fun!
Big up to all the Aston Aunties, and a special thank you to some inspirational ones that the VPs and I have noticed; Thomas Seaton, Lydia Harper, Aureelna Attitas, James O’Neil, Kelvin Minguel, Shamil Patel, Amy Jarret, Jack T and all the Captains.
Lots of Aston love from Reema Quessou, SU President.
Instead of just one Freshers' Fair, this year we have two!
Get all the discounts, vouchers and free goodies you can handle at the Freebies Fair this Thursday in the SU.
Then find out about all the amazing clubs and societies we have on offer, and sign up to your favourites, at the Clubs and Societies Fair on Friday in the SU and Woodcock.

PERSONALITY AND PERSUASIVE WRITING
Participants are needed for a Psychology study paying £10.
To be eligible you must be an English-speaking student at Aston University.
This is a study exploring how different types of people write and read persuasive arguments. On the first visit, you will be asked to complete a short writing exercise, during which you will be presented with arguments on various topics, and then complete some short questionnaires.
This study has been approved by Aston LHS Ethics Committee. Contact Samantha Gregory for more information and to sign up: email@example.com
