Engineers Without Borders UK leads a movement for change to embed global responsibility into the heart of engineering. Inspire, enable and influence others to make a positive difference when you join the EWB Society here at Aston!

  • Be a pioneer for change: provide students with an opportunity to apply engineering/technical knowledge acquired on degree to real life projects in order to benefit the local/wider community e.g. work with the homeless, projects involving small engineering enterprises etc.

  • Personal development: change begins from within and we will highly invest in the personal development and acquisition of transferable skills for our members through tailored workshops that provide individualised feedback e.g. mock assessment centres.

  • Position action role model: A new way of thinking- members will learn to look at the world and their potential future work roles in a different light, we will emphasise the importance of responsibility and ethical conduct in order to benefit others.

  • Fundraising opportunities: Support the Engineers without Borders organisation. The world’s most vulnerable are provided with engineering technologies to improve life quality.

  • Part of a nationwide community: There are established Engineers without Borders Societies across Universities in the UK and there will be opportunities to work with students from other universities and organisations.

You do not have to be studying engineering to become a member, this society is here to benefit everyone. We have some exciting events lined up, sign up and join the movement!
