Go Green Week is returning on 29th February-7th March with a mission to improve our community's environmental impact. Here are the events you can expect:

February 29th – 11:00 to 15:00 – Aston Students’ Union Foyer Space 

Clothes Mending Workshop: Debbie Murphy from Missfit Creations will be leading a mending circle supported by and open to all students to learn how to do small repairs to clothes. This is a flexible activity people are free to filter in and out. Sign up here!

Marth 5th – 10:00 to 12:00 – Aston Students’ Union Foyer Space 

Bike Maintenance Workshop: Fabio Henriques will be running a workshop covering the basics of how to maintain a bicycle in safe and efficient conditions, as well as emergency maintenance due to accidents. Sign-up for it on this link: Bike Maintenance Sign-up. 

March 7th – 11:00 to 15:00 – Aston Students’ Union Foyer Space  

Plant and Sip: A crafts event where people are invited to decorate plant pots and relax while enjoying a free hot beverage. This is a flexible activity people are free to filter in and out. Sign up here!

Jungle Club Plant Sale: Jungle Club will be selling easy to maintain house plants on campus. Take the opportunity to use the pot you have decorated on the Plant and Sip. This is a flexible activity people are free to filter in and out. 

Build Aston’s Bug Hotel: Members of our community are invited to join us to build bug hotels that will be used on our campus to promote local biodiversity. This is a flexible activity people are free to filter in and out. Sign up here!

Missi Mulla’s Gifts Charity Sale: Nasima Mulla will be selling her decorated gifts and all proceedings will be donated to charities. This is a flexible activity people are free to filter in and out. 

Repair Fair: Staff and students with maintenance skills will be available for quick assessments/fixes of electronics and appliances. If you have something you would like to have at least an opinion on its repair possibilities, bring it to this activity. This is a flexible activity people are free to filter in and out. 

Clothes Mending Circle: Staff members will be at the ASU to help community members to do minor repairs in clothing items. We will also be upcycling lab coats, and volunteers to assist are also welcomed! This is a flexible activity people are free to filter in and out. Sign up here!
